OH! CLASSIC GOLDEN APPLE

Symbolism is one of the languages used to express someone’s feelings in a manner than reflects and portrays a broader meaning of reality. The idiomatic symbolism, “Apple of my eye”, means the most beloved person. In this poem is a figurative expression of love and adoration for a lady, symbolized by an apple. Apples are one of the most delicious and sweet fruits on earth. Read on.

OH! CLASSIC GOLDEN APPLE
Why should you remain in the tree up above?
While my heart is so much heavy with love
With he a strong desire for your flesh
To taste it while it is still very fresh
What about a little taste of your sweet wine?
Oh! Golden Apple, why not just be wholly mine

An Apple, with my picture inside. I love myself.

Oh! Golden Apple,
Your glow is so much like that of morning sunshine
Your glossy and shiny skin is so magnificently fine
In you every being can have literally everything
Your golden splendor can enchant even a king
Yet should I miss you almost all year?
When I need you so much intimately near?

You are so enchanting for your every kind of reason
Your golden splendor is with you in every season
Your beauty is beyond what I can converse
Your splendor has no equal in the universe
With you I truly can have eternal inner peace
You were surely created a grand masterpiece

Oh! Gorgeous Apple,
Deep in my heart you stirred a fiery desire
Deep in my soul a longing so very sincere
To make you solely mine at heart forever
To shower you with my adoration than never

I yearn to always drink your luscious wine
To always show you love as solely mine

Oh! Splendid Apple,
Cleanse my wanting heart with your wine
Make your whole self as solely mine
With your soft flesh provide my soul’s relish
Offer yourself as mine to forever cherish
Your sweetness my ever wanting soul really miss
Oh! Golden Apple, in you is the key to my eternal bliss

Pierce my heart with your shinny golden glow
Through your sweet self let my soul grow
Intoxicate my heart with your luscious wine
Render your sweet flesh as eternally mine
I shall consider myself blessed by the most high
By experiencing your grandeur perpetually nigh
Oh! Classic Golden Apple

…AND THE DOVE SUNG

Insecurity continued to rise in a once peaceful nation until all hell broke loose. Negative ethnicity, religious, social, political differences amongst others fueled terrible hatred amongst the people and this caused major divisions on our nation. When finally civil unrests broke out, they were genocidal and they run unabated until a full scale civil war resulted with an everlasting devastation upon our society.

…AND THE DOVE SUNG

Corpses everywhere lay so scattered
By them the whole city was littered
The city was overwhelmed by an aura of gloom
Negative Ethnicity had literally sealed our doom
The result; we even had a very segmented police and army
And this nurtured in our nation a horrible internal enemy
Ethnicity to our dear nation was so sinister
And civil unrest began some days before Easter

Members of different social classes descended upon each other
Everybody seemed to be baying for the blood of one another
People everywhere seemed to shun all forms of brotherhood
There was no peace but war only in every neighborhood

Grisly acts occurred in every corner of our dear town
Buildings were looted and bombed and burnt down
There were even rumors of cannibalism
There were horrible acts of vandalism
One haberdasher was slaughtered like a goat
And he drank his blood he who cut his throat
Upon seeing me he confiscated my video recorder
Saying my action was against a certain civic order

Many of my fellows were murdered in cold blood
And on a certain street, blood flowed like a flood
There was no more the fundamental freedom of expression
National broadcasts only served to increase the tension

The war; no one won and no one lost
But the results were historically the worst
Peace reigned only when there was none to battle
And for the remnants there was no where to settle

And the dove sung but a sepulchral dirge
There was nothing else it could manage

Compare with the article KENYA INSECURITY: The Gathering Storm.

A Sad LOVE story!

This is the story of my life, the story of love. In my quest for true love I underwent so many experiences with my lovers. I was determined to find true love and so I did not give up even after becoming a womanizer. I was lucky to eventually meet a faithful lady who I got married to. But thinking I had arrived in heaven, I ended up in hell. Read on…

A SAD LOVE STORY
I just feel so sorry
Due to this story
A story of love
When I was naïve

At genesis was one beautiful than a peacock
But she had a heart harder than any rock
My true love for hear was utterly in vain
She later caused in my heart terrible pain
She finally infected me with syphilis
She whose sweet name was Seraphillis

Then came this lass whose name was Margaret
When it came to making love she was great
But sweet Margaret kicked the bucket
While undergoing her usual daily racket
Cursed be the driver of Nissan KAK four thirty three
I swear! He should be hanged on a big tree!
For terminating her young life prematurely
Due to His reckless driving that was so silly!

I fell in love with a lesbian from Palestine
Who lied to me her name was Celestine
To this day I even don’t know her name
For her who no man was able to tame

Then I met a sylph whose name was Janet
I literally swept her into my private love net
But whatever got into her tiny illiterate head
Left our budding relationship completely dead

Then came a whore by the name purity
But she offered my love as men’s charity

Then I fell for a peroxide blonde named Winnie
She was truly a real true love genie
You would think not of her being so old
For she strived to transform herself to Gold
I become such a failure in our finance
When she finally jilted me, I felt very nice

I just feel so sorry
Due to this story
A story of love
When I was naïve

Then I decided to fall in love with many
I would open myself to the full to any
From the brothel to the church
Of the ladies I knew so much
But I was crazy enough to fall for a man
He thought himself as a true woman
He called himself, “Joy the virgin spinster
And enjoyed being called, “Queenic sister”

Finally I decided to enter into holy matrimony
I was weary of being in love with so many
I became a very devoted roman catholic
To everybody that act was quiet historic
I married beautiful Virginia the child of a minister
But our marriage became such a total disaster
She turned out to be the devil’s own daughter

Due to her, I solemnly swore by the heavens above
I nincompoop Tony, never again shall I fall in love.

AN INFINITE GIFT

In this poem I try to expound on the importance of why Jesus Christ had to be born in this world, why did He live the way He lived and reasons why did He had to suffer the way he suffered and die an ignominious death. Read on.

Isaiah 9:6, 7:- “For to us a child is born, to us a child is given, and the government will be upon his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over His Kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time and forever. The zeal of the lord almighty will accomplish this.”

AN INFINITE GIFT
An infinite gift far beyond human imagination
Is this mysterious gift: the eternal incarnation
Also so mysterious is the idea of eternity
And the idea of Jesus taking our infirmity
For Jesus to die for all our transgressions
This is the most mysterious of divine lessons

How long is the mysterious length of eternity?
What is the count-ability of years of infinity?

The sum of our sins is also much of infinity
Abominations have degraded the face of humanity
Transgression of God’s law is like our daily life
Sinfulness of every nature is very rife
Yet Jesus in our infirmity; his life was holy
He obeyed God’s law and precepts wholly

By his death Jesus overcame the power of grave
By his death Jesus portrayed his infinite love
And gave us an infinite life of eternity
Thus we may live blissfully in perpetuity

Yet we must all partake the heavy Jesus’ cross
Due to christlikeness we can suffer terrible loss
To sacrifice your livelihood of the earthly bliss
The comforts of humanity you can really miss
In order to attain an infinite gift of eternal life

But you should just have to ask
And in itself is just a simple task
What did Jesus forfeit for my heavenly sake?
What manner of life did Jesus Christ forsake?
That through his undertaking of human infirmity
Our character may be transformed into divinity

Jesus suffered just like every other person
Jesus was persecuted for no apparent reason
Jesus was greatly ridiculed wherever he went
Jesus, like any human being, he also wept
Jesus was betrayed by his close associate
Yet all his earthly life was divinely immaculate

All human suffering; Jesus suffered the maximum
And his human association was the very minimum

But how did Jesus overcome all this?
How did he subdue every crisis?
John 5:39 “You diligently study the scriptures because you think that by them you posses eternal life, these are the scriptures that testify about me”.
2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is God breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness”.
Jesus often said, “It is written, man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God”. Matthew 4:4

The conditions of obtaining life’s infinite gift
Through humble petitions your spirit you must uplift
The infinite gift should be sought with all your heart
Effort is true effort only when it begins to hurt

An infinite gift of life is a gift of great diligence
Its pursuit should be life’s every moment experience
Its pursuit should be just exceedingly prayerful
And to every God’s precept; be very faithful

Persevere in every persecution
Fear not any humiliation
Fear not if you be lonely
But counter all evil prayerfully

In full faith say, “in God I wholly trust
Even when conditions are their worst
I fear not even the physical death.
For in Jesus I do rest my faith”.

Oh! An infinite gift, a gift of gifts
A gift of eternal love
A gift of eternal bliss
A gift of perpetual peace
A gift of limitless divinity

An infinite gift is the gift of divine promise
A gift of eternal life in an eternal paradise
A gift of all best gifts
A gift of glory of eternity
A gift of boundless love
A gift of boundless might
A gift of Jehovah himself

Oh! How long are the blissful years of eternity?
What is the true measure of God’s divinity?
The answer is: THE INFINITE GIFT of Jesus Christ.

BEAUTIFUL MRS. AFRICA

Africa once used to be such a wonderful continent. But the white man came and alongside him the elements that contributed towards the loss of our once wonderful heritage. This poem explores some of the effects of Africa accepting to welcome foreign cultures. Enjoy.

BEAUTIFUL MRS. AFRICA
Oh! Mother Africa, mother of strong dark people
Oh! Africa, a land where life was once so simple
Hail, oh! Mrs. Africa the beautiful
The mother of cultures so colorful
Beautiful Mrs. Africa, behold her captivating eyes.

Africa, mother of beautiful strong buxomly women
Africa, mother of handsome strong muscular men
Africa, why did you divorce your heritage?
Africa, why should you live in bondage?

Africa, mother of beautiful strong buxomly women
Africa, your daughters once were the pride of men
Who taught your daughters to be as slim as snakes?
To be as slender as the eels of the great lakes
That the lightness of a cat is true beauty
Who taught your daughters to hawk chastity?

Africa, mother of handsome strong muscular men
Your sons once used to be the pride of heaven
Who taught your sons one wife is enough
And doing women’s chores is being tough?
Who taught your sons to speak through noses?
And to adorn themselves as garden roses

Mrs. Africa, why did you divorce your heritage
And chose to live in such a cruel bondage?

Africa, mother of strong dark buxomly women
Africa, mother of strong dark muscular men
Will your eel of daughters ever grow manhood?
Will your pigs of sons retain their warrior hood?

OLD DOCTOR FOX

There are those people who are in very prestigious positions in the society e.g. doctors, politicians, leaders, etc. Some people misuse their title just to get money but do not care how they do their job or the outcome. But these same people are the ones who are quick to condemn other hardworking people of poor performance. They also do everything as to make those who are in their power to lead a miserable life e.g. exploitation, contempt etc. Such are the ones depicted in this little humorous poem. Read on.

OLD DOCTOR FOX

This doctor Fox was so many years old
Yet still had the handsomeness of gold
His maid-servant was a one beautiful mouse
Together they lived in a magnificent house
His house majestically stood on a high hill
And all his long life he never was ill
This very old doctor fox
Knew all of his country folks

He was a doctor for all the beasts and birds
He put on his specs and he used big words
He felt the pulse, and then he looked mighty wise
He pulled out his watch and he shut both his eyes
He grabbed his hat and he grabbed up his cane
Then “blam”, went the door, he was gone like a train
This very old doctor fox
Knew all of his country folks

One time a one mister lion fell very ill
In his lonely bed he weakly lay very still
Too much of young pig, too much of old pig
Too much of every animal which is so big
He was as near dead as so near being born
And he weakly lay seemingly so forlorn
This very old doctor fox
Knew all of his country folks

Mister lion he groaned, mister lion he growled
While Mrs. Lion and the children just howled
Old Doctor Fox took out his tool, Mr. Lion to lance
He pierced mister lion till it made him prance
Then he grabbed up his hat and grabbed up his cane
“Blam”, went the door, he was gone like a train
This very old doctor fox
Knew all of his country folks

But the very following day mister lion died
When they told doctor fox, he just scratched his head
“If persons get well or if persons get worse
Money got to come into old doctor fox’s purse,
Not for what folks do, but for what they know
Do the folks get paid” and fox laughed low
This very old doctor fox
Knew all of his country folks

Old doctor fox’s maid-servant the beautiful mouse
Was never out of doctor fox’s magnificent house
She always cooked very sweet food
Her job was always done very good
But to old doctor fox she was a servant and a wife
And in his house she lived a very bitter life
This very old doctor fox
Knew all of his country folks

Doctor Fox used to tell poor beautiful miss mouse
Who was never out of his magnificent house
“Folks get paid, for a job well done,
But you never did anything fine.”
But beautiful miss mouse could not go anywhere
Circumstance had forced her to remain there
This very old doctor fox
Knew all of his country folks
